Discovered fish living at the same time as dinosaurs
A rural farmer in Gansu province in China found a strange fish in the field when he was digging. Gansu National Forest Protection Administration, Longxing, has confirmed that it is a wild fish.
Staff of the management department are measuring fish
Experts say this fish is brown, 70cm long, 2.12kg, 7cm long, flattened body, wide mouth, 4 short legs, front legs with 4 fingers, hind legs with 5 fingers, skin smooth, no flake, is a protected level 2 natural fish.
Protected area expert Kang Fagong said that according to the survey, this local resource has no natural fish, this is the first case. Under natural conditions that can grow so big is extremely rare. Fish is mainly grown in streams in the middle of the highlands of the Truong Giang, Hoang Ha and Chu Giang rivers, and is very rare in the north. The discovery of anchovy in Hung Long Son shows that the ecological environment here is relatively well protected, is a suitable condition for this fish to live.
Kang Fagong introduced, the species that lived at the same time as the dinosaurs, known as the living fossil of 'evolutionary creature', they often live in quiet places, the water must be absolutely clean. This is a bipedal animal with the largest tail, small fish respiration by gills, respirable adult fish by the lungs, they emit a cry like a baby crying, so called doll fish, or fish baby.
Currently, this fish has been taken to the Gansu Province Wildlife Rescue Center to provide first aid and timely protection.
