Discovered many endemic butterfly species
The survey by the BirdLife team of consultants and officials of Chu Yang Sin National Park recently recorded 244 butterfly species. Among them are 10 butterfly species that have never been recorded in Da Lat plateau.
Notably, the survey team also discovered new butterflies for Vietnam. These are the true-wing bird phoenix, named Troides helena (Papilionidae family), which is listed in Appendix II of the Convention on Endangered Species Trade (CITES).
