Discovering the 'giant fireball' in the night sky in Perth, Australia
The Perth Observatory received dozens of calls after many saw a "giant fireball" in the southwestern sky of Australia.
Fireballs fall in Australia.
According to the observatory, the fireball is said to be a meteorite that has reached the Earth's atmosphere at a speed of 20 km / s.
Scientists at Curtin University are investigating whether the meteorite was completely burned in the leftover atmosphere and fell into the area near York town about 100km east of Perth.
