Discovering the statue of Apollo in Gaza

An ancient statue of Greek goddess Apollo was unearthed by scientists in the Gaza Strip . The discovery of this priceless statue has pushed scientists around the world into an endless debate about the origin of the statue.

Joudat Ghrab, a 26-year-old fisherman who said he saw the statue in the shallow waters north of the Egyptian border - Gaza. But equally quickly, the statue was confiscated by Hamas.

Archaeologists were forced to determine the origin and age of this sculpture entirely from online images. Experts say the statue was cast about 2000 years ago. However, Ghrab, who discovered the statue near shallow water, said: 'It was discovered inland and not in the sea'.

Archaeologist and archaeologist Jean-Michel de Tarragon said: ' It is very clean, it must be found in dry land'. Tarragon believes that sculptures cannot be created in a vacuum. So many possibilities of scientists will discover more ancient artifacts here.
