Dozens of people were injured and missing due to volcanic eruptions in Guatemala

On June 3, volcano Fuego, 45 km southwest of Guatemala City, was erupting strongly with high-altitude explosions and ash columns over 11km above sea level.

Conrad's spokesman, David de Leon, announced that local authorities have pledged to evacuate people living around the volcanic area in case of necessity.

Fuego is located at 3,763m above sea level and 45km southwest of Guatemala City, is one of Guatemala's three most active volcanoes, apart from the two Santiaguito volcanoes in the west and Pacaya about south of the capital. This is the second eruption this year of the Fuego volcano.
