Durian storms entered Philippine waters

Tropical storm Durian has entered the Philippine waters and is threatening to enter Metro Manila on Friday, December 1, warning of the Philippine Meteorological Agency (PAGASA) yesterday, November 28.

"It could become a strong storm or super typhoon before it landed on land," said weather forecaster Nathaniel Cruz.

At 2 pm (local time), Typhoon Durian is located 780 kilometers east of Samar Island (central Philippines), with the strongest winds of 105 km / h, pulling over 135 km / hr and moving toward west, 26 km per hour.

It is predicted that Typhoon Durian will advance 350 km east of Samar Island in the morning of November 29 and the province of Catanduanes on November 30. It is expected to arrive in Metro Manila on Friday morning, 1-12.

Two months ago, Typhoon Xangsane swept through Metro Manila and southern Luzon, killing at least 200 people and causing billions of pesos in assets and infrastructure. Another storm, Hurricane Cimaron, also hit part of the northern part of the country last month, killing dozens of people.
