At least 20 people were killed in a landslide, as a result of Typhoon Durian, in an eastern Philippine city. " Super storm " this landed yesterday, with winds of over 150km / hour.

The typhoon brought heavy rain that caused landslides, causing those people to die, at the same time causing flooding with high water levels to the roofs of the people. There are still many others missing and rescue teams are looking for.

Daraga mayor said "there are still many people who have not been found, and many bodies lying under the mud ". Local radio information said the number of people killed was up to hundreds, but rescue officials could not confirm the number.

Rescue work faced difficulties due to storms causing power outages, severing telephone lines and water supply in some localities. Roads in affected areas are filled with rocks and mud due to landslides.

After the Philippines landings yesterday, Typhoon Durian was reduced to intensity. The maximum wind speed is about 150 km / h and continues west, entering the South China Sea.
