Typhoon Lekima entered the Philippines, 10 people were killed
Tropical storm Lekima killed 10 people and many others disappeared after landing in the Philippines. Typhoon Lekima has caused landslides, floods, large waves in this country.
The Philippine Ministry of Civil Affairs announced that landslides had buried two houses in the mountains of Hingyon, killing eight people, a 9-year-old child was injured. Meanwhile, rescuers have found the body of a victim buried underground in northern Manila.
Big waves also broke into 29 houses in San Nicolas village, Mindanao island. Most ferries between Luzon and the Central Philippines islands must be postponed.
Tropical storm Lekima is continuing to enter the Gulf of Tonkin with complicated developments, causing heavy rain, strong winds and strong seas. Due to the impact of continuous storms and rains, many rivers overflow their banks and forced more than 3,400 people to evacuate.
The weather office in the Philippines issued an alert about the possibility of a whirlwind on Luzon islands when the storm weakened into a tropical depression on the southern coast of China.
