Ecuador again has a magnitude 6 earthquake
10:37 am April 22, a magnitude 6 earthquake struck at the coast of Ecuador. The epicenter is located at a depth of 10km and is only 100km from Portoviejo city.

Earlier, on April 17, Ecuador suffered a 7.8-magnitude earthquake, killing 587 people.
Currently the victims of the April 17 earthquake are facing a shortage of food, water and medicine.
Galo Garcia, a 65-year-old lawyer, told Reuters news agency: "We are trying to survive. We need food. There is nothing in the store. We have to grow our own vegetables."
Reuters reporter described a crowd in the coastal town of San Jacinto shouting, "We need food." In the town of Pedernales, one of the most severely damaged places, many children hold up a table asking for food.
