Egypt plans to move the treasures of Pharaoh Tutankhamun
Archaeologists and conservation experts around the world discussed the safe movement of the treasures of Pharaoh Tutankhamun to a new location in Cairo, Egypt.
The Egyptian Antiquities Ministry held a conference in Cairo on May 7 to consult international experts on relocating the treasures of Pharaoh Tutankhamun to the new exhibition site, according to AFP.
Egypt, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark and Japan experts discussed how to move the throne, cabinets and beds of Pharaoh Tutankhamun from the Egyptian Museum in central Cairo. two galleries have a total area of 7,000m 2 at a new museum on the outskirts of the city.

The goal of the workshop was to achieve "global consensus" about the safe transit process and display of items by Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The method of displaying the remains discovered in Tutankhamun's tomb, especially the remains of his two premature newborn daughters, is also discussed in the workshop.
"Moving an entire collection, especially such an important collection, is a huge challenge , " said German learning Egyptian Gabrielle Pieke. "It's a sensitive issue . We have to be very careful."
