Electric wheelchairs
Community Cars in Texas invented an electric car called the Kenguru, for people with disabilities in wheelchairs.
Kenguru looks externally compact as other 4-wheel electric vehicles. But it's just a cover to get your wheelchair through the back door.
In the car, the wheelchair becomes the driver's seat. The car only has one door in the back and one seat.
Vehicles with electric motors and steering wheel. People with disabilities fully control the brakes, gas and steering by hand, without using the legs.
Maximum speed of Kenguru is 45km / h. Kenguru vehicles are environmentally friendly and suitable for people with disabilities who travel independently in the city, without the help of others.
The price of the Kenguru car is $ 25,000. It is much cheaper than turning a normal car into a car with a disability, costing $ 80,000.
