Explore the world-like sand hill in Thousand and One Nights in Japan

Located along the Japanese coast region in the city of Tottori, sand dunes have amazing beauty.

More specifically, they are the only sand dunes throughout Japan.

There are no features that make up the image of Japan, such as sushi, cherry blossoms, Hello Kitty . Tottori city is like the Arab world in the Thousand and One Nights.

The city has winding sand dunes with a height of nearly 50 meters, people here use camels as a means of transport and cargo. The illusion on the desert replaces the glare of the city.

Tottori Sakyu or Tottori Sand Hill , was formed thousands of years ago when the sand of the nearby Sendai River fell into the sea. Strong winds and fast currents bring sand along the coast, forming a giant desert in the heart of sushi.

The area is only about 14.5 km long and about 2.4 km wide, but Tottori is a small piece of land with huge things: Kaigan National Park, UNESCO's Global Geopark , is a symbol of orange concluding the preservation of the country's history, culture and biodiversity with the world.

Tottori may not have appeared in Thousand and One Nights, but its significant appearance in Japanese literary works reveals its long-standing cultural significance.
