Filipinos see the second eclipse of the year

On August 28, Filipinos will see the full lunar eclipse for the second time this year.

This phenomenon will also be seen in many other parts of the world. According to the Philippine Meteorological Agency (PAGASA), the lunar eclipse will begin when the moon goes into the dark area at 15:52 pm local time (Vietnam 14g53 hours). The real moon will end at 21:22 local time.

'The full moon will last for 1.5 hours,' PAGASA said, adding that at the time of the eclipse, the moon's color will change to bright red or orange.

The total eclipse occurs when the earth lies between the sun and the moon, when the earth's shadow will cover the moon. The first total eclipse of the year occurred on March 4, 2007.
