Tomorrow Vietnam will receive a solar eclipse

The weather without rain on the morning of March 9 will create conditions for Vietnamese to admire the partial eclipse phenomenon.

  1. Vietnam is about to see a solar eclipse
  2. Where is the best eclipse on March 9 in Vietnam?

Astronomers say that only a small band can observe a total solar eclipse, including several Indonesian mainland areas and Pacific waters. Vietnam and most of Asia-Pacific countries only observed partial eclipse.

According to Dang Tuan Duy, Ho Chi Minh City Amateur Astronomical Club (HAAC), the best total solar eclipse is seen in the southern provinces , furthering the northern maximum coverage gradually decreasing. The peak eclipse took place in the early morning at 7 am when the Sun was not high.

"On the morning of March 9, it is not rainy or sunny, it is convenient to observe a solar eclipse" , the expert of the Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting and Center said.

The actual eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the earth and the sun, now looking from the earth, it seems that the moon obscures part or all of the sun. Solar eclipse occurs every year when the earth is at the closest position to the sun and the moon in the farthest position from the globe. So the moon is not large enough to obscure the entire sun and the two dark half regions created by the moon will expand more than when the total solar eclipse, while overlapping each other, forms an area called the shadow zone. fake. Residents of the regions of the earth that are simulated by this shadow zone will observe the annular solar eclipse, and in the midnight region a partial eclipse will be observed.

Several locations to observe the solar eclipse

Hanoi: Hanoi Astronomical Club will hold an observation at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Nguyen Hoang Ton Street (the place opposite the two dragons) from 6:30 to 8:30.

The Vietnam Young Astronomical Society tracks this phenomenon at 7am at Linh Dam peninsula.

Da Nang: Danang Astronomical Club held an observation at the area of Au Co statue in the East Sea Park from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm.

Ho Chi Minh City: Ho Chi Minh City Amateur Astronomy Club organizes observations at 2 places: Thu Thiem Bridge at district 2 and National University Village from 6 am to 8 pm.
