Find a solution to the riddle that no one has answered in 100 years
Male student Vasim Dowadi of Lausanne Polytechnic University (Switzerland) has successfully solved a physics puzzle that scientists have struggled to research but have not found the answer in the past century.
There is a very thin layer between the air and liquid bubbles that prevent them from moving upwards.
The researchers could not explain why gas balls in a narrow vertical tube filled with liquid did not float to the surface of the water. This can be easily observed when opening a bottle of mineral water.
After studying, Dowadi discovered that bubbles still move upwards but they are super slow motion , making it invisible to the naked eye. Swiss students also confirmed that, between bubbles and liquid exists a very thin layer preventing them from moving upwards.
According to Dowadi's assessment, the findings could be used to study the phenomena that arise when liquid moves in the nano environment.
