Find the ruins of the mysterious ancient empire in Iraq
The search for ruins brings some clay tables that researchers are currently trying to translate to uncover secrets.
A group of archaeologists recently discovered the 3,400-year-old ruins of an Iraqi palace, once belonging to the Miitani Empire .
Scientists have just made an important archaeological discovery in Iraq.
Deutsche Welle, one of the scientists working on the area, described the discovery as one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the region in recent decades.
The discovery occurred due to drought in the area and caused the water level in Lake Mosul Dam to recede, indicating the previous ruins were hidden below. Researchers have discovered 10 clay pieces while searching for ruins.
However, the team limited the time to explore the palace when the water began to rise, once again the mysterious palace continued to be hidden.
"We found the ruins of the wall painted in brilliant red and blue. In the second millennium BC, murals were probably a characteristic trait. But we rarely find them covered. This new discovery exists, " said Ivana Puljiz, a researcher at the University of Tübingen.
Ivana Puljiz also notes that the Mittani Empire is one of the least studied empires of the ancient Near East, and has not even been identified so far.
