Finding the bear bear in Quang Nam

The equipment of the International Nature Conservation Fund (WWF) recorded the presence of wild bear in Quang Nam.

Ursus thibetanus was recorded in June by a WWF camera trap in the natural forest of Quang Nam province. After analyzing and understanding, today, the scientific community announced this discovery.

This is the second time WWF's camera trap has recorded an individual bear horse since December 2012. Horse bears are listed on the list of endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and illegal hunting and capturing of this species in Vietnam.

Conservation experts say the finding shows the positive effects of conservation measures being applied in Vietnam's richest biodiversity area.

In more than 12,000 photos, many rare and precious animal species have been recorded such as Javan pangolin, large buckthorn, serow, Truong Son zebra, horse bear and especially Saola - newly discovered national treasure. after 15 years of searching in Vietnam.

"These are species that are affected by illegal hunting - which we are trying to prevent through forest patrols and protected area management. I believe the photos will be indicators. supervision is extremely important for our conservation efforts with the support of WWF, " said Mr. Phan Tuan, Quang Nam Provincial FPD.
