The cat bear desperately caused "network storms" as he climbed along the concrete wall that stood and successfully crawled onto the roof of a 23-storey building in St. Petersburg. Paul, Minnesota, according to Live Science. The animal is nicknamed bear cat MPR to honor staff at Minnesota Community Radio (MPR), who discovered the incident. MPR Bear immediately became a star on social networks when viewers around the world cheered it back to safe ground.

The animal lay resting on the edge of the window of various floors during the adventurous climb and finally reached the roof of the building around 3 am yesterday local time. By the end of the day, cat bears took nearly 20 hours to climb alone along the concrete building in the absence of food and water. Experts at the Wildlife Administration have caught it and released it back to nature afterwards.

Explaining the behavior of cat bears, Bryan Lueth, an employee at the Minnesota Natural Resources Agency, thinks it could be a combination of instinct and body composition."If I have to speculate on the situation, I think the cat bear can dig to the aisle between the blocks. He runs to the curb and there are many people around. Natural instincts motivate him to climb" , Lueth shared.

Cat bear is famous for climbing. Because many cat bears nest near densely populated areas and have lots of rubbish, they get used to running up trees, chimneys and tall buildings to avoid danger, according to Washington Fish and Wildlife Service (WDFD).

The animal possesses the perfect structure to climb. The set of sharp nails at the ends of their fingers and legs are very suitable to penetrate deep and steep surfaces such as trees or cliffs. Unlike domestic cats, cat bears can even rotate their hind feet 180 degrees to climb down in a head-down position.

This means cats can climb anything they put on their feet like cars, trash cans or even urban skyscrapers. A 1907 study of the cat's intelligence expressed astonishment as they demonstrated the ability to climb steam pipes in the laboratory "as easily as if it were trees in the forest".

"Plugging the nail into the bark is a bit easier than the hard rock surface. But there must be cracks or cracks or rough surfaces that allow MPR bears to stick to the building," Lueth said.
