The mysterious crater in Siberia houses a 25-storey building

The giant crater in Russia's Siberia region, discovered last year and unknown cause of formation, is up to 60 m deep and can accommodate a 25-storey building.

The 25-storey building can "fit" the mysterious deep hole in Siberia

RT's Vitaly Buzuev has an opportunity to observe the crater on the Yamal Peninsula and call this a memorable experience in his life.

"I was really surprised when I first saw them. This is the biggest hole in Yamal and you can put the 25-story building inside," he said.

According to Buzuev, locals consider it a link to another world instead of paying too much attention to scientific explanations of origin.

" All people living here or nomads need to hear the sound of the Earth. They believe that anomalies have happened that cannot be explained, " Buzuev said.

Meanwhile, scientists identify craters that can form on geologically rich areas of natural gas.Global warming causes the ice to melt, releasing gas that causes the "mixture" of water, salt and gas to explode underground.

"I think natural gas is the only cause of this phenomenon. Thanks to gravity, the gas is pushed up from the underground, crept through cracks and passes through the surface, " Vasily Bogoyavlensky, the head of the regional geophysical and geophysical experiment, said.

Another mystery that challenges experts is why these holes are round. Since the beginning of this year, researchers and locals have discovered many small craters around giant craters. Last November, an expedition team came to the bottom of one of the mysterious craters in Siberia and collected data.
