This is a mummy of a woman wearing a long dress, lying in a 1 meter long coffin which is sculpted very subtly. Colorful stones are placed on the mummy's eyes.

Archaeologist Mahmoud Afifi, excavation team leader, said this was a unique discovery. This coffin does not say which era it is, but in the way of burial it may belong to the Roman period in Egypt, lasting for centuries from the 31st century BC.

At first, archaeologists assumed that this was a mummy of a child because of its small size, but sculpted figures proved that it was a mummy of a woman. Scientists do not know exactly if this is a rich and powerful woman?

In addition, they also found a gold embossed engraved figure of four Horus sons. According to ancient Egyptian mythology, Horus was the name of the god who governed the sky, the son of god Osiris. The Horus symbol is sharp eyes, the eagle's wall.

The Roman period cemetery where the coffin was discovered has 13 graves, but this is the most complete mummy found.

Bahariya oasis has become famous for over a decade with the discovery of the valley of gold mummies, a large Greek-Roman cemetery with numerous mummies covered with gold leaves. .

The art of embalming of Egypt was born in 2700 BC. The ancient Egyptians believed in the eternity of the gods' world after death, so embalming was also a belief in the endurance of the Egyptian kingdom.
