For the first time the treasure of submerged Egyptian artifacts is

These antiquities once belonged to a bustling city of ancient Egyptian civilization, likened to a legendary Atlantis city .

The British Museum recently opened doors for believers who want to explore the ancient Egyptian civilization and admire the treasure buried under a thick 3-meter alluvial layer on the Nile.

It is known that the treasure belongs to the cities of Heracleion and Canopus - places that used to be the gateway to Egypt. Both cities were buried, and were first discovered in 1996.

Heracleion is one of the important cities in the ancient Mediterranean. Heracleion is the name given by the Greeks and the Egyptians called it the city Thonis . Sometimes, these two names were combined into Thonis-Heracleion.

Experts took up to two decades to salvage this treasure. Finally, after thousands of years of being buried, the treasure of ancient Egypt was also brought to light.

There are up to 300 excavated artifacts this time, in which most antiques are pulled from the rubble. However, the good thing is that they are well preserved. Among these, the most notable is the lithograph plate that dictates the 1.9m command of Pharaoh Nectanebo I , and a statue of the god Hapy - the Egyptian river god - as high as 5.4m.

Another treasure is displayed including the statue of Arsinoe II - queen in the Ptolemaic dynasty, founded after Alexander the Great conquered the country.

Let's admire a few antiques that were exhibited this time at the museum.
