Found the missing piece of ancient continent
The land on the surface of the globe was once incorporated as Rodinia's supercontinent, and now experts say it has found its remains buried under the Indian Ocean.
Until about 750 million years ago, Earth had only a giant supercontinent called Rodinia .
And although currently separated by an ocean hundreds of kilometers wide, India was located next to Madagascar.

Recently, researchers from the University of Oslo (Norway) have found evidence that there is a piece of land thought to be the subcontinent that connected India - Madagascar.
The strip above, called Mauritania , is broken down over time and eventually disappears under the ocean waves when the world is modernized, according to a report published in Nature Geoscience.
Professor Trond Torsvik said he found zircon in the sand on the island nation of Mauritius, and the results of isotopic analysis showed that they date from 1970 to 600 million years ago.
The expert team concluded that they were remnants of an ancient form of soil that had been pulled to the surface of the Earth during volcanic eruptions.
They argue that the remaining pieces of Mauritania can be found at a depth of 10 km below Mauritius and the Indian Ocean.
