Archaeologists working in Nazareth, northern Israel - the home of Jesus Christ, identified a home dating back to the first century, most likely where he grew up.

According to Live Science, the house has a stone and mortar wall, which is carved deep into the rocky hillside. It was first discovered in the 1880s, by nuns at the "Sister of Nazareth" monastery.
However, until 2006, the archaeological group led by Professor Dark at the University of Reading, England, determined the date of the house and verified that this is the place where people lived many centuries after Jesus. think he grew up.
"The house has many rooms," said Professor Dark. "A room with a doorway still maintains its height. Another room has a staircase connected to a corner of the wall." There are two empty tombs built next to the house.
Archaeologists discovered that, for centuries after the age of the Lord, the Byzantine Empire - dominating Nazareth until the 7th century, "mosaiced the house and two graves. This shows that the house is solid." it's important, and respected, "said Professor Dark.
Father Henri Senès after visiting the 1936 commentary, continued the unfinished excavations of the nuns. He was an architect before becoming a priest.
According to Professor Dark, the priest recorded in great detail the construction structure of the house the nuns found. His work is kept private and therefore, most of the public is not aware of it except for the nuns and those who visit their monastery.
In 2006, the nuns allowed the scientists of the project to access the site, and provided pictures and notes of the priest Senès, which they kept carefully.
By combining new findings and available documents, archaeologists have re-developed the development of the first-century relic to date.
Earlier, only a few monuments found in Nazareth date from the first century, most of them graves. However, in recent years, archaeologists have identified two houses dating from the first century in this town. Another house was discovered in 2009, but not supposed to be where Jesus grew up.
Jesus is said to have grown up in Nazareth. It is unclear whether God lives in this house, but Professor Dark thinks this may be true.
