F-Secure releases security patches
Security firm F-Secure immediately released a security patch for serious bugs discovered on January 19 from its 18 antivirus programs.
This serious security error lies in the virus scan, detecting malicious code from compressed ZIP files, RAR can allow hackers to run dangerous scripts via ZIP or RAR compressed files containing chapters process is dangerous, leading to the risk of buffer overflow for systems that use both Windows and Linux.
The flaw affects most of F-Secure's antivirus software from 2004 to 2006 such as F-Secure Internet Security, F-Secure Anti-Virus, F-Secure Personal Express v6.20 and earlier.
F-Secure recommends that users immediately update the patch for the product they are using on their device. Details and download updates here.
