Giant buffalo weighs 1.5 tons, costs more than 69 billion VND

The 1.7 meter tall, 1.5 ton heavy buffalo worth over 69 billion VND has received attention not only because of its high price but also because of its impressive lineage.

According to India, a three-day All India Farmers' Fair and Agri-Industry Exhibition was held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agricultural University in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh.

The main attraction of this exhibition is the presence of a buffalo named Anmol from Sirsa, Haryana. This tank-like cattle will surely leave you amazed with its price tag.

Many people are surprised at the high price of the buffalo.

The buffalo is worth around 23 crore Rupees , meaning if Anmol's owners sell it, they can buy around 15 Mercedes-Benz cars costing 1.5 crore Rupees each or two Rolls-Royces costing 12 crore Rupees each.

Anmol has won several awards in the last eight years, says Jagat Singh, Anmol's owner. Talking about his daily diet - a hearty meal of 5 kg of milk, 4 kg of juicy pomegranates, 30 bananas, 20 protein-rich eggs and a quarter of a kilo of almonds along with gulkand and fodder. Anmol also bathes twice a day and enjoys being massaged with rapeseed and almond oil.

Anmol's huge body has attracted crowds . Singh said the buffalo's semen is sold for Rs 4-5 lakh a month and a team from Sirsa regularly collects and distributes its semen.

Notably, Anmol is of the Murrah breed, making its semen rare . The owner of this buffalo spends Rs 60,000 (VND 18 million) per month on its diet and earns Rs 4-5 lakh (VND 120-150 million) in profit per month from selling the semen.

Hundreds of visitors from different places came to the fair to see Anmol. Many took selfies with the precious buffalo.

The event was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and State Chief Minister Baldev Aulakh.
