Glowing personal tape

The glowing tape has a power cord, which can be safely worn at the waist or put in a pocket (pants) when moving.

Not only covering the wound, the glowing personal tape made by British scientists is also able to kill skin cancer cells with light. Tapes with light-emitting diode systems with 4mm diameter spread evenly across the surface, projecting high intensity red light onto the tumor. Initial tests show that the new tape quickly kills skin cancer cells within 30 minutes after the patient has applied the tape to the site of the cancer, without causing any pain to the patient. Before applying the bandage, the patient will apply a particularly light cream. Cream will produce a chemical reaction when exposed to red light while weakening the tumor - when the tumor is easily suppressed by red light.

Currently, skin cancer patients are treated by lying under intense lights and lasers every 6 hours. The new tape significantly shortens the duration of treatment and with its small size, the patient can both wear duct tape and do housework or work normally. Expected glowing tape will be clinically tested in the next few months and will be widely used in the UK in two years.
