Google fixes the gap in Desktop Search

Picture 1 of Google fixes the gap in Desktop Search Google quickly corrected vulnerabilities in its search engine Desktop Search after it was reported that hackers used them to attack the system through a security flaw in IE.

Last week, Matan Gillon, an Israeli independent security researcher, discovered a link between security flaws in Internet Explorer with the search engine Google Desktop Search. This dangerous link helps hackers use Desktop Search to infiltrate and steal information from Windows systems.

According to Matan Gillon's report, there is a flaw in how IE handles CSS (Cascading Style Sheet), a method for creating fonts and popular formats for the Web, and is widely used on Internet.

Gillon tried creating a Web page running on a Windows computer's IE browser that installed Google Desktop Search, and as a result, could find the computer's password.

Gillon said the IE flaw could help hackers steal personal information from the victim's computer, and then use them to conduct Internet sessions in the name of the victim's name.
