Google will launch a smart watch later this month
Google's smartphone will launch with Android 4.4 and Nexus 5 in the event on October 31st.
According to Artem Russakovskii of Android Police , Google will launch its Nexus smartphone in late October. Google's Smartwatch will be codenamed " Gem" and released with Android 4.4 KitKat.
According to the source, Google Watch is compatible with Nexus 5 as well as other Android devices. Also, another possibility is the Google Gem is Motorola's rumored xWatch .
Russakovskii said he was " quite trustworthy" about the authenticity of the information, but so far it seems that no source can be authenticated. However, Google's launch of a smartphone at a major event with Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 is also possible.
Both Samsung and Sony have launched their own smartwatches, however, both are not highly rated, especially the Samsung Galaxy Gear . Hopefully the watch coming from a big brand like Google will make a difference to this emerging smartwatch market.
