Use electronic paper as a smart meter
E Ink Company offers a wide range of electronic paper displays in a variety of sizes for smart meters and other devices. Last month, they announced a 1.73-inch paper screen.

The first product to use a 1.73-inch electronic paper, is the Sonostar smart watch . This watch will be on display at Computex 2013 show here. SonSmart is a joint venture of E Ink. E Ink pledges to use electronic paper to produce a number of other products, but it is unclear what devices.

E Ink 's Epson Smart Watch line now uses TFT technology. The screen has no color, which is 16 shades of gray. The 320 x 240 pixel resolution of the smart watch, which can be viewed in bright sunlight, consumes less power.
