Every year there are millions of hacker attacks on websites of different companies or organizations around the world. However, most of them are single attacks, do not cause great damage and are almost stopped from the beginning. 1. In the early 1990s: Kevin Mitnick, aka "lord of hackers", successfully broke into the computer systems of major media and technology companies in the world such as Nokia, Fujitsu, Motorola , Sun Microsystems. Mitnick was arrested by the FBI in 1995, then released in 2000. Mitnick did not acknowledge his activities as an attack but called "a social trick."
2. November 2002: A British young man named Gary McKinnon is arrested for attacking more than 90 US military computers based in England. Currently McKinnon is still going through a challenging period in the UK so as not to be extradited to the United States, where he is wanted.
3. 1995: A Russian young man named Vladimir Levin became the first person to attack the banking network to withdraw money. In early 1995, Levin attacked CityBank and withdrew $ 10 million. Levin then made money transfers to his account in the US, Finland, Netherlands, Germany and Israel. Interpol caught him in England.
4. 1990: When a radio station in the Los Angeles area announced a prize for the 102nd call to the station, Kevin Poulsen attacked the city's network of switchboards to make himself available. become the 102th caller to win the prize. 5. 1983: Poulsen again, as a student he attacked Arpanet, the precursor of the Internet. Arpanet is a global computer network, Poulsen discovered a flaw in the structure of this network and temporarily took control of the US expansion network.
6. 1996: An American hacker put a software containing six malicious code into the computer network of Omega Engineering, a company that supplies important equipment for NASA and the US military. The code allowed a logical "bomb" to operate and destroy Omega's production control software, causing the company to lose up to $ 10 million.

8. 1999: Melissa virus is one of the first forms of virus to devastate worldwide. Written by Davids Smith, Melissa has spread more than 300 companies worldwide and destroyed nearly all of their computer networks. Damage is estimated at nearly 400 million USD. Smith was arrested and spent five years in prison.
9. 2000: MafiaBoy, a teenage boy who attacked the world's largest websites such as eBay, Amazon and Yahoo from June 6 to Valentine's Day 2000. He broke into more than 75 computers in 52 different computer networks aim to use them to perform denial-of-service attacks. He was arrested in 2000.
10. 1993: They call themselves "deception masters", the goal is the US phone system. The group attacked the National Protection Agency, AT&T Company and the US bank. They have created a system that allows to bypass long-distance phone systems and penetrate private phone lines.
