Haptix interactive 3-way technology

Haptix technology allows users to transform all spaces into three-dimensional, multi-faceted surfaces and interact on those surfaces.

Touch screens are revolutionizing the way people interact with computers. But to date, touch technology is almost limited to the screen.

Now two American engineers have developed a sensor called the Haptix , which turns any surface into a multi-touch control system for a television or computer, whether it is a screen, keyboard, or desk. .

Haptix is not the first system to introduce motion control. Leap Motion has created a control device that allows users to execute commands on the computer screen through hand movements.

"Unlike Leap Motion, Haptix does not need to rely on infrared technology ," said Mashable spokeswoman Darren Lim, meaning it can be used 'in all lighting conditions. bright and on reflective surfaces'.

Lim also calls Haptix a 'computer mouse killer' , explaining that by integrating 3D tracking and multi-touch technology, users can scroll, pan, zoom and select the menu by typing up. The surface has been transformed into a 3D touch surface.

Lim also said that Haptix's three-dimensional sensor provides tactile feedback, allowing users to see their fingers on the screen before touching the surface.

Haptix hopes to attract $ 100,000 in sponsorship on Kickstarter.
