Have you ever wondered how to ask Google what a lion sounds like?
Do you know what humpback whales sound like? Google will help you do this .
Google has quietly updated a very interesting feature for the company's search engine. Specifically, they have added to the database the characteristic sounds of a number of different animals (you can listen to them on your phone or computer) . The sound of each animal will be accompanied by a very cute illustration.
To hear animal sounds, you can type the keyword "animal sounds" or "animal noises" into the Google Search box to activate this feature.
Google will display a list of animal images plus a speaker icon next to it for users to click on and hear their sounds.
There will be certain differences in how some languages express animal sounds, for example a cat might say "nyaa" in one language but in English it will sound more like "meow".
One more note: if you can't activate "animal noises " on your current browser (e.g. Chrome), try switching to Edge or Mozilla Firefox to experience this interesting feature.
