The lion smiled mysteriously in front of the camera lens

Initially, the lion roared greatly to the photographer. However, instead of attacking the photographer, it turned out to smile.

Gren Sowerby, 69, from England, is said to have had a 'life-saving shock' when photographing a lion in Kenya on a hunt. The lion roared, frightening him, but its subsequent action was truly surprising.

'It roared as if to say: "I am the Lord of the Green Forest" and then I could not believe my eyes when the lion smiled at me, like someone winked and told you: Ha ha ! ' , Sowerby told British news agency South West News Service (SWNS).

'It is really a shock to remember life'.

Mr. Sowerby went on a hunting trip in Maasai Mara, Kenya in September and wanted to take some pictures of the jungle lord when it started roaring.

Sowerby added that he was about 10 to 15 meters away from the lion. It was a male lion and it went with the female lion. ' They have a prey in the bush and I think the lion roared maybe to show that he was full.'

Sowerby, from Whitley Bay, Northumberland, shared that he was surprised by the lion's large size and that he was really happy for the photographs.

'The forest god is not something you can take pictures often. I am very pleased with the pictures I have taken , ' Sowerby said.
