Honda uses airbags for motorcycles

Safety goggles have been used in vehicles for accidental accidents, but with motorcycles, the use of airbags is a novelty. In the Federal Republic of Germany, the country's largest automobile association, ADAC, has just launched the idea of installing a safety airbag for motorcycles and impressive test results.

Mannequins are used in wide-ranging tests with very strong collisions in cars. This is a test when the motorcycle is not equipped with airbags safely, obviously the person sitting on the car will be seriously injured, even dead.

Dr Wilfried Kerner, Director of the ADAC Technical Center said: ' We have been experimenting with a variety of motorcycles with different crash situations in actual traffic accidents. The results are beyond our expectations, maybe the car is severely damaged or lightweight but the airbag can safely protect many parts of the driver's body such as head, neck and chest, almost without loss. harmful '.

In fact, with such a strong crash, the driver may still be injured at the bottom of the foot. However, driving a motorbike on the road without a safety airbag will result in a much heavier impact when the collision occurs, the driver may be broken neck that dies.

The first safety airbags were built by Honda Motor Co., the largest in the Gold Wing GL 1800 series and will be distributed mainly in North America.
