How dinosaurs dominate Earth? That era begins with the Great Extinction

Dinosaurs have experienced catastrophic genocide, enabling animals to appear - this is probably everyone knows. But does anyone doubt that they themselves have an event like that that exists in this world?

Dinosaurs have dominated our planet for millions of years. But then a giant meteorite appeared that turned them into "celestial" creatures - at least that is what science concluded until now.

But the question is: how can dinosaurs dominate the Earth? More precisely, what conditions helped them appear on this planet?

Why do dinosaurs appear and develop?

This question is not easy to answer, but now the answer has been found. According to a recent study, the reason comes from a mass extinction event from more than 200 million years ago, on a scale equal to the Great Extinction period, causing dinosaurs to be destroyed.

Specifically, about 232 million years ago, a terrible event occurred that caused the carbon cycle to change , making a large number of organisms extinct.

According to experts from Bristol University - the place where the study is conducted - it is a series of giant volcanoes that work continuously . As a result, they change the Earth's climate for millions of years. And this event has enabled dinosaurs to appear, replacing the creatures that dominated the Earth earlier.

Reportedly, the team found evidence that the proliferation of dinosaurs began to start from the Carnian Pluvial period - a period of global climate change from 232 million years ago.

In fact, the evidence suggests that many giant reptiles have appeared since the Triassic Period (245 million years ago), but still in scarcity. Then that terrible event happened, destroying nearly every creature on Earth, and facilitating dinosaurs to grow.

To get this discovery, the researchers looked for fossil evidence in the Dolomite range of northern Italy. They found many footprints buried under countless layers of stone.

According to experts, they have helped to reveal the history of dinosaur development, in particular showing the time when dinosaurs began to explode. When compared to rock samples in Argentina and Brazil - the first places to find dinosaur fossils, evidence shows that the event also occurred there.

It all makes researchers hypothesize that dinosaurs have become the most successful life after the disaster, and have grown worldwide.

"We are really excited when the footprints and fossil bones all bring the same conclusion," said Dr. Massimo Bernardi from Bristol University.

For a long time, science had suspected that the Carnian Pluvial event had changed life on Earth - both on the shore and in the sea - but the details were unclear. The event caused the climate to heat up, creating acid rain, causing a series of organisms to be destroyed.

"We have gathered evidence of climate change in the Dolomite range. It seems to be divided into several phases, which means there are many consecutive extinctions in this period" - Piero Gianolla - co-author of the study from Ferrara University (Italy) shared.

Professor Mike Benton - another author from Bristol University, said: "The study has found a link between dinosaur development and the phenomenon of Great Extinction , and it is very important."

"The event not only opened the era of dinosaurs, but also created modern reptile groups: like lizards, crocodiles, turtles . Even animals - animals that dominate the ground. nowadays".

So it is scary to see nature. It can open an entire era of domineering creatures, and then end it by itself.
