HP launched the first 64-bit laptop

Picture 1 of HP launched the first 64-bit laptop Hewlett-Packard (HP) has become the first manufacturer to launch a series of hand-held computers (laptops) with 64-bit duplication processing technology.

The Compaq nx6325 is also the first laptop to use AMD's Turion 64 X2 processor - the first 64-bit dual-core processor on the market released last month. Application of dual core technology greatly improves the operating speed of many applications. However, the benefits of 64-bit processors seem to be still very limited. Everything will change when Windows Vista comes out.

With the Compaq nx6325 product line, HP targets market share for small and medium-sized businesses for both personal and business purposes.

Compaq nx6325 also has an application version of AMD Semperon single-core processor.

Like all new HP products, the nx6325 is also equipped with a biometric fingerprint scanner, TPM embedded security chip and a 15-inch BrightView or XGA display.

nx6325 will be officially available on the market later this month. HP has not announced the price of this new product.
