Husband fears his wife is a sign of happy marriage

Men can be dreadful at work, but when they get home, they should be afraid of their wives. Scientists say that at home, women are the ones responsible for driving the family's happy boat.

"Research shows that at least marriage is where women can use a bit of power," said study author David Vogel at Iowa State University.

"Most of the previous studies suggest that women have very little authority. The results are often based on the traditional notion that men make more money and therefore have the right to make big decisions in the family. But this research is not like that. "

The group surveyed 72 couples of average age 33 and married about 7 years, belonging to different races such as Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa.

Each person answers questions about satisfaction in relationships and ability to make decisions. Next, the participants recorded issues that could not be resolved without the partner's cooperation. While money and housework are the most talked about things, sex is not a prominent issue.

Controversial topics selected by the spouse:

  1. Picture 1 of Husband fears his wife is a sign of happy marriage Money -18% (husband) / 13% (wife)
  2. Housework - 15% / 15%
  3. Friends and family - 10% / 19%
  4. Emotional and emotional - 10% / 13%
  5. Time together - 13% / 10%
  6. Make a decision - 18% / 4%
  7. Sex - 4% / 1%
  8. Intimacy - 1% / 1%
  9. Communication - 3% / 4%
  10. Children - 0% / 3%
  11. Other changes in relations - 4% / 17%

Scientists return to the scene where the couples discuss each of these issues within 10 minutes. The group evaluates the interaction of couples based on words and behaviors related to: reproach (accusation, criticism); requires (scold, force to change, order); elude (humming, changing topics, distracting, turning away) and discussing.

The results show that demanding wives, like asking husbands to change, often achieve their goals more than husbands . This happens regardless of who initiated the conversation. In addition, women are not much more talkative than men.

"It's not like people think that women often raise issues and not listen, men actually listen to what they say," Vogel explained. "Women convey strong messages and men respond by approval or submission."

One reason for women to hold a chair is because they have a strong responsibility to keep the family calm. "Women are responsible for covering the whole relationship, making sure it runs smoothly, everything is done, and all are happy," Murphy said.

Wife is a good sign of a harmonious relationship. "There is research that has confirmed that the sign of a healthy marriage is the man who is accepted to be influenced by his wife," Murphy said.
