Ice melts all over South New Zealand waters

The warming up of the earth is once again the concern of many people as the ice floats floating around the Southern New Zealand waters.

About 100 icebergs float near the Auckland Islands 260 km south of New Zealand. A number of icebergs are still floating in the anchor waters of the main vessels, which has been the first to ever happen.

New Zealand air force fleet said the largest iceberg is 1.5 km wide, 2 km long and 130 m high. According to New Zealand's National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, the ice sheets may have broken off from Antarctica and drifted to New Zealand by storm winds.

The aircraft flying in the southern waters also said they had seen another wave of icebergs over the weekend.
