Inaugurated the laboratory of preserving agricultural products

In the afternoon of June 19 in Hanoi, the Regional Research and Development Institute (Ministry of Science and Technology) cooperated with ABI Group (Japan) to organize the inauguration of the CAS technology (Cell alive system) - Cong Technology for preserving fresh cells.

This is the most advanced technology for seafood, agricultural and food preservation in the world because ABI Group is an exclusive patent holder, recognized in 22 countries, the European Union (EU ) and worldwide protection.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan emphasized that Japan is the leading country in the world to research and successfully apply many advanced technologies to agricultural production, especially are technologies in the field of preserving seafood and agricultural products and one of the outstanding technologies is CAS technology.

This technology has been applied effectively in many businesses processing and trading seafood, agricultural products, meat and poultry meat and food in Japan, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, England and Korea. National .

The application of CAS technology in Vietnam will contribute to the technological innovation in the field of post-harvest technology to solve the difficult problems of agricultural commodity development as preservation of tropical seafood and agricultural products of Vietnam to export and serve people.

According to Mr. Le Tat Khuong, Director of the Regional Research and Development Institute, to receive and develop CAS technology in Vietnam, the Ministry of Science and Technology assigned the Institute to cooperate with ABI Group to implement the 'Case building CAS technology center for preserving agricultural and food products in Vietnam 'from November 1, 2012 to April 30, 2015.

The program consists of three main stages, in which phase 1 is to build CAS technology laboratory, receive CAS technology and research technology in preserving some tropical agricultural products in Vietnam.

Phase 2 will implement technology transfer of CAS to preserve seafood and agricultural products for a number of Vietnamese enterprises.

Phase 3a and 3b will transfer CAS manufacturing technology to Vietnam; joint venture to build material areas to meet the standards of preservation technology and application of CAS technology to preserve agricultural products and foodstuffs for domestic consumption and export.

CAS is a technology that combines rapid cooling with the creation of an electronic field combined with ultrasound to preserve fresh products, enabling dispersed cellular water molecules to become flexible, unfocused and closed. ice during storage.

Thus, the tissue structure in the cold storage process will not be broken, inhibiting oxidation, preventing infection and making the product retain the aroma, flavor and water needed to do it. Fresh products for a long time.

In addition, this is a clean and economical technology in preserving agricultural products and fresh foods.
