India: 10 million trees in 1 day

Only on July 31, the state of Uttar Pradesh (India) planted more than 10 million trees to raise awareness of environmental protection.
Thousands of farmers and students, students in India's most populous state (with 160 million people) were mobilized to participate in the tree planting campaign and planted 60% of the trees, the state forestry sector took over the number of trees rest.
Initially, the state government set a target of planting 10 million trees at 9,320 locations across 70 districts. According to officials, this is aimed at raising the sense of environmental protection, while breaking the world record of the number of plants within a day.
The state record for planting the most green trees today belongs to Tamil Nadu state, with 852,587 trees planted in 6,284 locations within 3 days. This record was established in 2006. Guinness Book of Records says they have been notified of Uttar Pradesh's intention to set a world record and are awaiting confirmation.
