India is capable of exploiting the ocean floor at a depth of 6,000 meters using Sagar Nidhi. The Indian government is planning to introduce two more vessels, including one purchased by South Korea and one built in Surat, in the state of Gujarat to boost the ability to explore and exploit rare minerals in Ocean bottom.
