India launches 'robotics' research

India is developing a ' robotic soldier' to promote unmanned fighting.

Under the project being implemented by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in India, these robots will be very intelligent to distinguish between threats and friends.

Once developed successfully, 'robots' can be deployed in difficult-to-control areas such as the Control Boundary (LoC), to help prevent human losses.

Avinash Chander, DRDO's new director, said that the organization is working on the development of highly intelligent robots.

This is a new program and some labs have conducted research. Chander considers the 'robotic' development project to be one of his priority areas and says that 'landless and airborne war will take place in the future.'

The original goal of the 'robots' could only serve as a human helper. For example, in the early stages of the project, 'robots' had to receive orders from people to identify enemies or ' teammates' , but gradually, at some point, 'robots' would come to the front and People will only play a supporting role.

According to Chander, 'robots' need to be developed to preserve human life. Now robots have been used in areas where people do not want to risk ventures such as removing bombs or into areas with high levels of radioactivity.

'Robot Soldier' is just one step further in this direction and requires a lot of technology, including communication technology with team members, and the ability to recognize enemies.

About 5 to 6 countries have actively studied robotics , but have not reached full development.
