India trains run by solar energy
In an effort to reduce environmental pollution, India has launched the first solar-powered trains in New Delhi - one of the world's most polluted cities.
Anil Saxena, the press manager of the Indian railway company, said the DEMU train had a capacity of 1,600 horsepower, consisting of 6 coaches, each carries 16 solar panels on the roof to provide power to the equipment. On board a replacement diesel generator.

These prescriptions are also equipped with a spare battery intended for use at night. It will take passengers from Delhi to the northern Indian state of Haryana. According to Business Recorder, this is the first solar powered train in India as well as the world.
It is also part of India's effort to achieve the goals of the Paris climate change agreement, according to The Straits Times.
"The Indian Railways are focusing on clean fuels, so we are revising our fuel policy, which will benefit the railways, society as well as the country," said Minister of Railways. Suresh Prabhu declared.
According to estimates by the rail industry, with solar trains, India will reduce consumption of about 21,000 liters of diesel annually, saving US $ 18,000.
It is expected that in the next six months, India will design 24 more similar trains, helping to reduce pollution and save money.
