Intel is about to introduce two new technologies
News from motherboard manufacturers said Intel is currently developing two new technologies and will introduce them with the upcoming X38 high-end chipset.
Two new technologies, Extreme Memory and Extreme Tuning Utility, are the leading architectures today and will be available in the X38 chipset platform in October this year.
Extreme Memory will operate similarly to Nvidia's SLI Memory technology, allowing specially certified memory modules to operate at higher performance when integrated into a support board.
Extreme Memory technology will only support DDR3 memory modules without DDR2 support. It also supports new chipsets: X38 and P35, and Intel's third-generation Centrino platform.
According to the source, Intel is working with other memory manufacturers, including Kingston, and OCZ to distribute Extreme Memory modules that have been certified, along with a number of technical models expected to be released. at the end of September.
Meanwhile, Extreme Tuning Utility technology will provide an interface that allows changing BIOS properties from within the operating system environment, making it easier to perform computer tricks and overclock. Currently, Extreme Tuning Utility only supports each X38 platform.
