Invention robot destroying lion fish

The lion fish (also known as the sea fairy) is a beautiful fish, very popular with saltwater fish farmers. But lion fish is also a species that causes a lot of distractions whenever they are present in areas that do not belong to them. And now, coral reefs in the Caribbean are seriously threatened by the invasion of these species.

Currently, researchers from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (USA) have developed a self-propelled robot capable of hunting lion fish. This robot in addition to targeting and using sharp spears to catch invasive fish, also allows fishermen to harvest and sell fish.

Sea lions are very beautiful, eat well but devastating terrible environment.

Lion fish is a very expensive dish, so fishermen spend a lot of time hunting and selling them for nearly $ 50 / kg. So, instead of simply killing fish and robots, the research team used special spears to launch fish and then surfaced to allow fishermen to easily remove them.

Brandon Kelly, a member of the research team explained: 'This brings economic and environmental benefits. This fish has caused great devastation and it is my motivation to participate in this project. We feel like we are helping to make some changes in the world. '

Lion fish are obviously very beautiful to look at and very tasty to eat, but they also cause huge losses to aquatic ecosystems as they encroach on new areas. They can devastate local fish populations and delicate coral reef ecosystems.

The robot was made by the research team smart enough to avoid contact with coral reefs in the search for invasive species. It can track and hunt lion fish completely automatically without the need for operators. When the robot has completed the hunt, or the spear ends, it will float to the surface for resupply or to other waters.
