7 months after bringing the monkey to space, Iran is expected to take the Persian cat into space in the plan to explore the universe.

Mohammad Ebrahimi, an Iranian space program official, said Iran's next spacecraft would carry a long, flattened Persian cat, named after Iran.
The introduction of cats into space and spacecraft will be carried out at the end of the year, according to the Iranian calendar, ie before March 21 next year. A report said Iran's spacecraft might carry a mouse and a rabbit.

Details of the plan were announced by IRNA news agency, after the country confirmed the information of bringing a monkey into space and returned successfully 7 months ago. However, the international community expressed doubts about the authenticity of the information, seeing the difference between the photos of monkeys published before and after flying into space.
The telegraph quoted Ebrahimi as saying that the national media had mistakenly sent a photo of the monkey as a backup in Iran's plan last February. He stressed that only one monkey was taken to space at a height of 120km and returned safely during a 20-minute lesson.
In 2010, Iranian officials put a mouse, a turtle and several worms on a flight into space, one of the stepping stones to achieve the goal of bringing people to space in 2018 and becoming Leading national technology in the Muslim world.
Iran's plan to bring cats to space is considered to be the next step in the nation's ambition to conquer space. However, this could cause concern for Western countries about Iranian military applications.

Mr. Ebrahimi said that the boosters used for this spacecraft launch will be larger in size and use liquid fuel. Earlier, Iranian rockets were introduced into space using solid fuel and built with technology used for long-range missiles.
It is also considered Iran's attempt to ease the world's worries when President Hasan Rouhani is trying to restart nuclear talks.
Iran has stated that it wants to put its satellite on orbit to monitor the situation of natural disasters, earthquakes, enhance telecommunications and expand military surveillance activities in the region.
