Israeli students successfully built tiny satellites

A group of students from Herzliya High School (Israel) successfully built a tiny satellite to guide the way into space in April.

About 40 students aged 16-17 years are currently conducting a durability test for satellites named Duchefat at Israeli aviation facilities.

The satellite is built with the help of the Israel Space Agency, which is only about 10cm in size and weighs a few hundred grams, so the cost of taking up space is much cheaper than the millions of dollars of a normal satellite. .

Although small, tiny satellites are still fully equipped with operating, communication, energy and insulation systems.

After being launched into orbit, the tiny satellite will be responsible for helping lost travelers find their way, even in places without mobile phone waves, by receiving corresponding electrical signals. with calls for help and messages to a center on Earth.

According to the Israeli Space Agency, many large areas are now unable to receive cell phone waves because about 70% of the Earth's surface is covered by oceans. This tiny satellite will operate at an altitude of 600km and maintain for 2 years. Every 90 minutes, satellites will travel in Earth orbit and travel around the planet within hours. This unique device will be launched into space from Russia along with 40 other tiny satellites in an international project.
