ISS station astronaut tests HoloLens glasses in space

HoloLens virtual reality glasses have been brought to the International Space Station (NASA) by the US Aeronautics Agency (NASA).

As part of the Sidekick project, Microsoft introduced HoloLens virtual reality glasses to NASA to deliver to the ISS Station, enabling astronauts to explore the capabilities of three-dimensional computers in space. This device was taken to the ISS Station along with SpaceX's reusable missiles. Currently Microsoft HoloLens virtual reality glasses are being tested by astronauts Scott Kelly and Tim Peake. Peake said, for the first time, the device was a little off.

Information from NASA and Microsoft said that using HoloLens virtual reality glasses allows combining virtual worlds and the real world and helping users to perform everyday tasks conveniently. HoloLens operates independently thanks to its dedicated processing system inside the glass and the processor displays 3D images with motion sensors that recognize the surroundings.

Besides, with this glasses, people can reduce crew training and improve astronauts' working efficiency on ISS Station.

Astronauts can enhance communication with technicians on Earth using Skype. Then, the HoloLens glasses will transmit images from the astronaut's perspective to the technician. From there, the ground can guide astronauts to perform tasks with high difficulty. In addition, technicians can draw and annotate each item through HoloLens. In addition, this new technology can replace the voice guidance with a three-dimensional illustration system that directly displays the astronauts' surroundings - a big step for astronauts.

Being able to use HoloLens virtual reality glasses is seen as a big step in opening up new discoveries for astronauts and giving us all a new perspective on the endless possibilities of Three-dimensional space.
