Under the plan, Nakabayatsu's subsidiaries will try to market this very unique battery and listen to market demand. If the situation is positive, parent company Nakabayatsu will promote this product in the Japanese market.

The brand of ' water battery ' - called Nopopo , is the product of Aqua Power System Japan. The principle of operation of the battery is that when users use a plastic tube to pump water through a small gap at the positive end of the battery, the chemical reaction caused by the ion released from the metal core will generate electricity for the battery.

Instead of drinking water, the user can also use beer, milk or even body fluids such as saliva, blood or urine to help activate the battery electrode.

The battery has a remarkable feature is that if not shelled, the shelf life of the battery up to 20 years from the date of manufacture. With a single tap, the battery can illuminate an LED light for up to 15 hours. Once the power is weakened, the user simply needs to add more water to reuse the battery.

The Aqua Power System says the battery is intended for use in low-power items such as radioactive waste or LED power savers in emergency situations such as natural disasters or malfunctions.

The cost of a full set of 3 batteries is 630 yen, 100 units is 20,790 yen. Aqua Power System expects to sell 1 million batteries a year after launch
