Video: Device to turn urine into cooking fuel
A Mexican scientist invented a device that can convert urine into biogas for cooking.
Scientists have found a way to turn urine into biogas.
Gabriel Luna-Sandoval, a researcher at the University of Sonora, Mexico, created Urine Fuel Cell (Urine Fuel Cell) device that turns human urine into biogas (biogas). Biogas will help to produce electricity or to replace natural gas, SBS World News reported on November 14.
Luna-Sandoval said that with this device, 5 liters of urine will produce 1 liter of biogas. Each average person produces about 1.4 liters of urine per day. A 4-person household will have enough urine to produce gas for cooking.
